Activision Blizzard Q4 2011 Conference Call
The Q4 2011 Earnings call will take place on February 9, at 1:30 PM PST, which brings us an update on subscriber numbers for the final quarter of 2011. Keep in mind last call informed us of a 800,000 subscribers loss, but this time around the Annual Pass and Patch 4.3 may soften the blow.

The week of the call also may bring us information on upcoming releases, if there will be any announcement expect it before the call takes place. During the previous call they wanted to remind investors that there is normally an increase in subscriptions around December, with previous quarters showing the following losses:

    Q1 2011 - 600,000 subscribers lost
    Q2 2011 - 300,000 subscribers lost
    Q3 2011 - 800,000 subscribers lost

im glad i tapped out after killing arthus. some 2-3 yrs ago.
personally, the most satisfying part of my wow life was in the before time, vanilla. lvl 60 caP. in molten core. 40-man raids. and downing rag for the first time on the server frostmane. where skill and strat accually mattered. there was no easy street. it was all hard mode. nowdays, its a simple kids game and for those with plenty of time and money to waste. as a technologic gamming achivment it is still epic and probley always will be.

WoW was fail from the start.

No real resemblance to the RTS games.
Land never changed though player actions / armies.
Everyone in the game was a "hero". With so many heroes, defeated the point of soldiers & armies.
    Quests were silly.

Essentally not worth the money or time.

I bought the game and played 1 day and never went back. Imo guild wars and similar games were much more fun.

    How so ?

In war 3 / ft you emark on what you could call a crusade / expedition across the world with armies etc in the story line.

WoW. You just do the same quests as every other player.
Shit respawns, and the world only changes when they bring new content / patch.

yeah cru. but it was the first to do it on such a large interactive scale. nothing like it exsited before. it was never an RTS(well kinda is, but not like top down C&C style.) it was a 3rd person, RPG. it carried on and expanded the lore from the RTS series, which are awesome btw Smile
i dont think u can call it a fail thou Shocked anything with over 10 million people willing to pay to play it is pretty damm good. being said, it will be a cold day in hell before i fall back into a void like that again.
