Should we have Third Person View on vehicles on our server?

keep it on, it's a tactical advantage to see where the enemy are, either from an attacking or defensive situation

I'd have to agree with striken, without 3rd person in vehicles you are never going to find infantry at a capture point, you have a servery limited FoV and without a gunner paying attention you wont find anyone.

Ah but If u cant see them in tank, They cant see you... plus we have the eyes of our clan mates to help us, and the secondry gunner is usually ur eyes, so why fear? u must trust ur gunner

pretty much what your argument is is that you want vehicles to have more of a chance against infantry...that is kinda silly...particularly to us that prefer being on foot

Whatever you guys decide on will be whats put in effect. I'm a bit tied with regards to having it on or off so that's why I'm asking you guys to decide.

for me its a shitty element to games these days - theres a whole lot more immersion if there is NO 3p camera.

you could have the same argument for 3p cameras for characters too.... then we need auto aim etc etc etc.... = WoW

it changes the game significantly and dumbs it down.

    just lame imo. pirat

after reading the above comments think i will change my vote to no. as i agree that it is more realistic to not have 3p. however im pretty sure that you have a rear view camera. which they didnt seem to have in bf3 beta, this i rekon would be good if it is a server setting. sorry for inconvenience

I don't see half of you in vehicles anyways
    cause your always yelling
    "take a hit" or
    "wheres that sniper"
    so your opinions are invalid

ya Rear view is more than enough. you can easily use front 90 degree view for looking forward and then use rear view to check 90 degrees back. sack ya gunner if he lets a support plant C4 on you, and might i add the 3p in tank with Thermal image, Ray knows what its like and from what i know its 360 degree view with lots of white little dots.

There is no rear view in BF3 and the thermal does not pick up infantry very well combined with 1 hit to disable an armored vehicle you will get fucked up trying to capture anything.

No 3D view would make tanks giant targets for me as support or engi, would not have any fear of a lone tank at all, knowing that the likely hood of being spotted before i disable or kill them is so low. That said this will stop tanks charging ahead by themselves as they will be sitting ducks without infantry support. so No 3D view for me, gone should be the days that a single tank and gunner can pwn everything in sight without the support of their squad or team.

Though flying a jet without 3D view is a little annoying keeping track of everything before you focus in for a dogfight is very handy.

    Still a no for me.
