    No BF3 for a week ;-(

    Well in anticipation for moving into the new place the internet here will be disconnected tomorrow and not reconnected until Friday.

    Sadly that means no BF3 for me sigh

    See you all in a weeks time hopefully if nothing cocks up.

    More like no BF3 for a month. Moved into the house all good living here now however when the internet was supposed to be connected turns out there where no ports... Soooo now I have to wait until 28/1/12 for the first available port to open which is not already pre booked.

    Craving some online play so dam bad...

    Been craving it all year, went to the midnight release....still don't have the right comp. part rent, part airsoft, mostly my architectural course made sure of that.

    And I'm back. Our ADSL line was reconnected today and its actually quicker than our ADSL2+ line was. Well I'm happy see you all in game very soon!

    Ok well further updates,

    After finally getting connected after having no internet for almost two months I have been playing around and doing some testing.

    There seems to be a problem with our line since getting connected and I'm averaging a packet loss of 20% this makes nearly all games unplayable so I have to wait till my partner gets home so I can be put on our telstra account and I can get this packet loss problem fixed.

    I swear its one drama after another lol!

    Further Updates,

    Spent 2 hours on the phone with Telstra yesterday doing the normal trouble shooting stuff and finally worked out that some of our activation codes weren't completed properly so that issue was rectified and then I got put onto a senior networking engineer who said give it 24 hours and if I'm still getting more than 2% packet loss after the 24 hours there is a issue with a line and they will send a technician around to check my full line all the way to the exchange to locate and fix the problem.

    So now I'm currently waiting until 5pm this afternoon to ping www.google.com -n 100 and see what sort of loss I get. If I'm still getting more than 2% loss ill have the best line in the city once its fixed lol.

    Overall Telstra has been pretty good with this problem I'm quite impressed. Also unfortunately even though I live in a city of 70k people Telstra is the most reliable thing around here and every other company just leases the infrastructure off them so even if I went with another company I would be experiencing the same issues as its more than likely my physical line losing the packets somewhere.

    And I'm also pretty happy Telstra has boosted their internet deals again for the same price I'm paying for 100gb/month which is $99 the deal has been changed to 200gb/month and either a 8mb ADSL1+ line or a ADSL2+ line when available.

    Finally after 5 days of phone calls and a technician coming to my house, my issue getting escalated to the GOC which is as high as anything in telecommunications can go, this morning my line is finally fixed and getting 0% packet loss.
